I just downloaded this game for my Nintendo DS called Let’s Yoga. I’ve only done one lesson so far and I already feel good. I burnt some of my scented oils and it was quiet because I’m the only one home and the music in the game (although it’s not really a game, just yoga tutorials) really helped to set the mood. I think I’ll try to do a lesson everyday to hopefully better myself. Check it out if you own a DS and are into it.

Yay I finally got a photo ring going over on the Photos page. Nothing special on my Flickr, but I’ll get some up from my recent vacations and organize all of my pictures into corresponding sets eventually. Just glad that page isn’t ‘coming soon’ anymore.

For the past few months I’ve been slowly working on moving all of my music files (and pictures etc) to my 320GB Western Digital My Book external hard drive to hopefully free up most of the space on my laptop. I’m also doing it to get all of the song names typed correctly and the less-than-quality versions deleted.

Current count of music on my external: 2436
Current count of music still left on my laptop: ~13219

My vacations were wonderful, but FINALLY I’m going home tomorrow. More later, I just had to share my excitement of being in my own bed and seeing my parents again very soon. Now I just have to wait for Josh to get back from Arizona.

From July 26th to August 1st, I was in Port Loring, Ontario in Canada at a place called Tornado’s. It was beautiful and peaceful. Not too hot, not too cold. Very primitive living, but it was something that I really needed. To just get away from the technologies of my normal living habits and surround myself with nature and silence. I was able to catch up on some much needed sleep as well. It was a very laid back vacation. No where to go except out on the boat, so plans were never made. I really enjoyed being able to go about my day with ease and no one breathing down my neck telling me to get ready to go places. We flew there (with a few delays, but no biggie) and drove back (my uncle was already there fishing for a week). The drive was treacherous, as I often get easily car sick. 13+ hours in the back of a truck was not very pleasant for me, but I was able to deal. We made it home by 2am, after leaving around 9am.

Now I’m in Fernandina Beach, Florida, but I’ll post about my time here a little later. Right now it’s beach bumming time.

“I’ve got to admit it’s getting better; it’s getting better all the time”

Life is good at the moment. I notice slight changes in myself that I like, others that I don’t, but you’ll always have that. My mom is asleep in my bed, snoring like a damn motorcycle. I wish she would go to her own bed cause I’d really like to sleep. Josh and I are having a magical musical wonderland extravaganza tomorrow and I can’t wait. I really like being with him :] Especially when he plays guitar for me, but tomorrow I get to hear his other musical talents. My laptop is dying. I have 163MB left on my C drive and it’s taking forever to get all of my 16,000 songs onto my external hard drive. I need to schedule classes. Not looking forward to going back to school one bit. Josh goes Tuesdays and Thursdays and I’ll probably be stuck with Monday Weds Fri again. Plus I never received an email about a window being open to my schedule fall classes months ago, so I keep forgetting, so now I highly doubt anything decent is left. But I need to get a real job instead of babysitting this time around I think. But I can’t get a job before school starts because I’m going on vacation so much. But maybe if I find something, and Rachel is able to get someone else to babysit for her from then on, I can get classes on Tuesday Thursday instead. Two days a week is way better than three, considering how much I don’t like school and all. Whatever.

To get? (Ouch my bank account):
- camera
- laptop battery
- mp3 player? or another 2GB microSD card for R4DS instead
- piano
- decent electric guitar

Alex is here and we’re watching Donnie Darko and I just realized that the younger sister, Samantha, is the girl who plays Samara on The Ring. And I guess they’re making a movie called “Samantha Darko” that takes place 7 years afterward. And I also realized that Ashley Tisdale and Spencer, the hot brother from iCarly, are both in this movie. Muahaha, hilarious. Today was a good day. Hung out with Britt, Bri, Seth, and his friend Josh, who I’m glad to have met. We saw The Happening, but it was kind of disappointing. Just leaves you hanging. But it was worth the laughs.

My lack of any sleep routine whatsoever since middle school is catching up with me lately because it’s getting really bad where sometimes I just don’t go to sleep at all. I feel terrible right now. But now it’s like once I fall asleep, my body doesn’t want to stay asleep for very long. It’s getting ridiculous. I lovvve sleep, but I’m hardly getting any. And a lot of the time nothing is going on, I just lay there and space out for a while…

That’s another thing that has developed into a more persistent happening lately, spacing out. A LOT. People will be talking to me and I’ll just zone out. I’m told that when I space out I: stare, twirl my hair, or bite my nails/lips. I feel really rude when I do it when people are trying to talk to me. It’s as if I lose interest, or something that they say makes me think of something else. I don’t know. I also think this has to do with the no sleep thing.

I’ve also been crazy emotional lately. I’ve noticed a decline in my happy-go-luckyness I used to have a few months ago. That whole “if you think positive, then positive things will happen” and “nothing’s standing in my way”. I mean my life isn’t bad, I just realize that things are definitely missing, or I’ve just grown tired of other things. So I’ve just had this Debbie Downer attitude lately, but again I’m guessing lack of sleep.

Summer has been great so far and there’s still lots to be done. I’m very thankful for the opportunities I’ve had because certainly a lot of people don’t get to do the things I’ve been capable of doing lately, traveling and whatnot. It’s been awesome and I can’t wait to continue the journey.

My brother and his wifey Caitlin are here until tomorrow and it’s been nice having them, although I’m not being very sociable, staying in my room a lot of the time :/ But we went out on Bob’s boat last night and it was a really great feeling to do that again, cause I haven’t in a while. We had dinner and got to see the crazily colored sunset, it looked awesome. I would have taken pictures but I was an idiot and dropped my camera in the ocean last week. I don’t know if I’ll be getting a new one, I don’t really deserve to have another, this is like the 3rd one. I almost broke Nathan’s too when he let me use it in Myrtle after mine was annihilated. But yeah, the wind in my hair and I had on a cute summery dress and jellies and it was just very peaceful.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. If not, you probably need some sleep. :P

So the Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach is pretty awesome. It’s brand new so it was a quick go around, not much to ride, but definitely lots to see. I would rate it as more of a theme park than an amusement park. If you plan on going, be sure to pack the camera, as there are a ton of awesome photo ops. Lots of memorabilia, and tons of merch from different bands. Like I almost bought a Metallica beach towel. Never thought they were in existence. Definitely pack the wallet, some things are mainly overpriced. Go see the stunt shows. They’re very cheesy but pretty cool. The fireworks that go along to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ were a little lame, but you should still stay for that.

But the best parts for me were the Nights in White Satin ride and the Garage Jam Ball Pit. The Nights in White Satin ride is insanely trippy, complete with 3D glasses, black lights, and neon paint. The Garage Jam Ball Pit was this place where people of any age (that’s what made it fun, hitting middle aged people in the face) can grab a bag, collect as many foam balls as possible, run up the steps to a ball cannon and load the balls, press the button and hit anybody within sight/range. It was hilariously fun drilling people in the face or hitting one person, bounces off of them, hits another person. The funny part is going downstairs to get more balls and having the guts to go out into the middle where you become an easy target for the cannons up top. And drilling people in the face when they first walk in and have no idea what’s going on. Helping little kids load their cannons and letting them aim and press the button was cutely fun too. Needless to say, we spent a few hours in there.

The park is open until 1am and we were able to go in, see everything, leave, and then come back for more of the ball pit and the fireworks. But after that, there was really nothing left to do until 1am. The crowd was fairly small and lines were smooth sailing and short. I didn’t have any of the food, so I don’t have anything to mention about that.

Oh and if you’ve never been to Cedar Point or have never been on a big rollercoaster (or if you are a huge Zeppelin fan, duh), Led Zeppelin: The Ride is great. Except when I rode it, the music that goes along with it (their song ‘Whole Lotta Love’) didn’t work, which disappointed me, but the video at the beginning was interesting (a little bit about them). I hope the music works for you. The people I went with rode it before I did and said it goes along with the ride really well. Robert Plant screaming as you go down the hill, for example.

The park was full of cool scenery, but until they expand a little more and get all of the rides working, I’ll have to say this is a one timer park for now.I should have some pictures of it up pretty soon…hopefully.

In our condo in Myrtle Beach. It’s been really nice out so far. A little rain here and there the other day, no biggie though. I caught at least 6 or 7 good waves this morning that brought me almost all the way back to the shore. I think we’re done with the water for today, might go out later to sit on the beach, but I’m beat from the sun and the waves for today. I love it though. My back is fried but I don’t mind. Did putt putt last night. Got a hole in one the very first hole, but it was all downhill from there for me the rest of the night. Starting to peel already. Our view is great from the living room. Right over the ocean. I’m reading a book about this girl surfing, makes me want to stay by the ocean forever. Going to the boardwalk or something tonight. And fireworks I think. I’m sleepy.

Today is supposedly Firefox 3 Download Day, but the site doesn’t even work, which blows. But happy Download Day! …If you can get it to work…

Edit: I bought this and this and some other stuff. Hard Rock Theme Park tomorrow. ROCK! Pictures later possibly.
