So I met this guy Kyle tonight and he said he has a tattoo of a coat of arms lion in white ink, but not traditional white ink, it’s sort of like a brand. Like this:

Anyway, I’m seriously considering getting the word “believe” done like that on my left wrist.
And then I was thinking about
A tree somewhere. The tree will have roots, and a few really simple birds (probably 3 cause there are 3 people in my family. Two in the tree, representing my mom and dad. And one flying toward it, me!) and under the roots it’ll say “know your roots” or “remember your roots” and then have a piece of cloth, like a banner, hanging across the branches with my last name in it.
But I dont know where on my body I would put that one.
Nathan’s getting a tattoo on the 24th and I’m hopefully going with him (Although I just remembered I signed up for CPR class that day. Maybe I can change it to the Feb 10th one cause I really wanna go see Nate get his tat). So I will ask about white ink and get suggestions for the other one while I’m there.
Let me know what you suggest / think.
PS – My mom is well and recovering quickly. She was able to walk out of the hospital after her back surgery. I’m very happy for this. She says her pain is gone so she is happy too.

I’m sitting here eating Subway and watching Pretty In Pink with my mom. She’s been off of work for a few weeks in pain. She has a ruptured disc in her back that is constantly pinching a major nerve that runs from her back to her foot. She says it feels like someone is always stabbing her in the leg. She went to the doctor and now she has to go in for surgery on Friday to have the disc removed so it hopefully doesn’t hurt her anymore. I really hope it helps because she’s very miserable.
School starts tomorrow so I too am miserable in a different way. However, I’m attending on Tuesdays & Thursdays this year instead of the usual Monday Wednesday Friday, so now I babysit on MWF from 9am until about 6pm, so more days and more hours for work. That’s exciting, considering I spent most of the money I had on video games :/

It’s been a bit, sorry about that. Nothing too spectacular has been happening. I’m finally done with my Autumn quarter at school. So far my grades are showing an A in my Comparative Studies class, so I hope the other two classes are fairly close. I need to sit and schedule a few more for next quarter.
On Tuesday I found out that the lady whose kids I babysit’s husband was laid off, so at the moment I don’t have a steady job, which kind of sucks because it’s around Christmas and I just spent about $600 on Black Friday so that I could just ask for accessories for Christmas (instead of the tv and xbox themselves, which would’ve been way too much). She said she’ll still need me some days, but at the moment, I have almost no money for Christmas gifts for others. Hmm…
Tomorrow I’m heading to Indiana to see Alex. She won’t tell me why I need to be there, but I’m excited none the less
I have lots of things I hope to get done during break and self-improvement projects to start once the new year rolls around.
Hope everyone has a swell holiday!
PS – A follow-up on a previous entry: Rick Astley did in fact win the Best Act Ever award, but refused to show up for the award. **Warning: Don’t mind the guy in the video (Perez Hilton). I honestly don’t know how or why he has anything to do with ANYTHING, ugh**
But yet he could show up and lip sync for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, haha.

I love the end of October. I just celebrated my 20th birthday a few days ago, not to mention it’s fall and Halloween is soon! I’d like to get in on some of the action in Columbus this year because I never get to. I missed out on ever going to Night Of The Living Drexel (it’s like a 24 hour horror movie marathon at the Drexel movie theater. People get costumed up and sleep there, etc.) because now the Drexel is closing! Grrr. Anyway, check these out.
I would love to go to a Zombiecon !
Who needs yard signs when you have pumpkins !
Here are ten "geeky" pumpkins .
And one extra, not Halloween related, but a true dream come true in my eyes: a Mountain Dew Dispenser computer tower ! More at dewmod.com

If you’re participating in Halloween this year, what is your costume (if any)? Or what are some clever costumes you’ve seen in the past?

Rick Astley is up for the Best Act Ever Award at the MTV European Music Awards. Simply click this link and leave the tab/window open in the background forever. FORRREVVVERRR. It will vote for Rick Astley to win the Best Act Ever Award numerous times. That’s it! Simple as that. Just leave it open. I have about 15 of them open at the moment. Yes plx. XD
{Edit} – Due to a comment (click below) from probably the site manager, leaving only one tab open is good enough. I’ve closed my other 14 now. I guess I just really want him to win tehe.
{So now} you know the rules, and so do Iiii!

I’m sorry if you were unfortunate enough to read my last post, but I deleted it. Tomorrow is another day, and today is yesterday’s tomorrow, and so far today has been great. It’s beautiful outside, I dropped my math class and picked up two other small one credit courses (but they’re able to keep me a full-time student). CPR and one about JFK and his impact on America, etc. I’ve also decided that even though I’ve dropped my math class, I’m still going to use that assigned time for school, just as if I were in the classroom. Meaning no computer, and strictly coursework from 2:30 until 4pm (or whenever I know that my work is done). I hope I can motivate myself to stick with this idea, but I’m pretty sure my plan will work. I just won’t take my laptop to school on Fridays and then after my 12pm Psych class, I’ll go practice piano during the lab hours and then after that, go to the Warner Center and work until 4pm. HOPEFULLY. Fingers crossed. See, at least I’m still trying to be legitamately responsible about it.
I got my car back and to thank grandma for letting me use her car, I filled her gas tank and vacuumed out the entire interior, but I didn’t tell her about it, shh hehe. I’m having a Lunchable and am home before 4pm, this is such a great feeling to not have math riding me every time I come home! Oh, I woke up this morning and the neighbor’s house had been ridiculously toilet papered . It was amusing, but I feel bad that they’re still trying to get it all cleaned up.
Got some cleaning and laundry to do, but other than that, I believe my night will be amazing. Hope yours is too! :]

Yay, so I was able to get my new site working with the domain and the host. I really like their control panel, wooow. But yay at seekingstars.net finally being official!
It’s only a placeholder for now until I come up with a design. Which, mind you, won’t be all too great, as I’m terrible with graphics. Probably a very simple something or other. It will eventually have a link to this site or something to that effect, so be sure to bookmark seekingstars.net, and you can get here from there.
I’d like to join a nice forum to get some more affiliates, hmm. I used to like disaster.mb but then basically everyone turned into twats. I used to be on another but I can’t remember what it was called. It was shut down anyway so bleh. Nice people though, need to find another like that.
Oh well, nothing on seekingstars.net until the weekend possibly. Loads of coursework, eek! Lots of projects and tests due within the next few weeks. Busy busy.

The Death Cab / Tegan & Sara / City & Colour show was awesome to say the least. Death Cab played all of the songs I was mainly hoping they would, INCLUDING ending with Transatlanticism , holy shit. I’m surprised I didn’t cry over that one, what an amazing feeling to leave with. I was so scared they weren’t going to play it, but to end with it, WOW. It really was a great night. Nate & I got to the show, and while standing in the will call line for the tickets that my neighbor had saved for us (he knows the people who own the place), Nate jokingly says "Watch, we’ll get up there and they won’t have them." We laugh about that, but sure enough, we got to the counter and there weren’t any tickets for us haha. So I explain how I received them, dropped a few names, etc etc, and the guy told us to step aside, he’ll be with us in a moment. We waited for a while, watching everyone bound on in, and then the guy comes back and hands me tickets. I’m thinking, ‘well he shouldn’t hand them to me until I pay for them, right?’ So I ask about paying and he winks and says "Just take them." LIKE WOW! Two $40 tickets for free, I was truly grateful. I hope something nice happens to that guy or whoever allowed that to happen, and I’ll be sure to pay it forward in some way.
I’m such a skanky mess right now though, so I’ll probably get in the shower and head to bed. I have tomorrow off of "work" because Rachel’s having surgery to get the pins taken out of her broken leg. I didn’t have work on Tuesday either because my brakes on my car rusted out and so now, as Nathan says, I’ve gone from a grandma CAR to a grandma VAN because my grandma was nice enough to allow me to use her spare van until my car is fixed (or possibly a different one? *cough birthday on 21st, cough* haha only kidding) I’ve received way too many nice gestures lately. I’m completely content with everything right now. I hope you’re at least halfway content with what you have as well. :]
P.S – Muse’s song "Map of the Problematique" just played on shuffle. The intro reminds me a lot of Metric’s "Dead Disco", so I did a test by recording just Muse’s intro and then me singing Metric lyrics overtop. IT TOTALLY WORKS OUT PERFECTLY! I would upload it to prove it to you, but I will spare you my singing haha (plus I don’t think I saved it). Just…like… try it sometime. But you have to wait a little before you start singing. Something like 12 rapid 4-counts. If Matt starts singing in Muse before you’re done singing Emily’s lyrics, you’re doin’ it wrong. ;]

Today (well, yesterday. It’s midnight ‘o thirty or something I think) was awesome. I was spazzing out all morning thinking I wasn’t going to get my 20 pages of Voltaire finished in time for my quiz and I was spazzing out about math coursework. But classes were good and went fast. Aunt Michelle invited me over to have dinner in between Math & Comparative Studies. This is awesome because I usually don’t get the chance to eat anything on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays until about 8pm. We had delicious food and I was able to chill on Olivia’s bed and finish my reading just in time for the quiz, which I aced by the way! Professor Evans (awesome guy!) let us out half an hour early. AND THEN when I arrived home, my free 4GB micro SD memory card was chilling on the counter from GamingLagoon.com! AND the Zumba dance workout DVDs had arrived too. AND THEN Joey got my new url for my blog situated, but now I’m confused about getting my other one set up with the other hosting site, hmm. I’ll ask about it later because it says the site is undergoing some maintenance at the moment. It’s great because in Psych we were talking about making “grateful lists” where you sit down at the end of each day, and instead of dwelling on the bad things that happened, make a list of all of the good things that happened and be thankful for them.
So, what are YOU thankful for today? :]
