People keep calling and texting, wanting me to party tonight but I’m like ehhhh, I don’t really want to right now. Today was shitty, I still need a shower after being soaked all day. I look like shit, I kind of feel like shit. I don’t feel like going out tonight. Maybe tomorrow night. Hit me up people, I bet it could be fun times.
Tonight, not so much, so guess what?

Today was so gross and pointless. It was rainy and cold, the one day I wear something that doesn’t have a hood. I heard that it was supposed to stop raining after the morning. Nope, it’s been raining alllll day. But luckily class is over and I’m at home in warm dry clothes ready to play some Xbox. I don’t know if I want to continue Half-Life 2 tonight, or play some more Bioshock. I’m pretty sure I’m way farther in Half-Life 2 than I am in Bioshock, so I should probably work toward beating HL2…
Speaking of Xbox, I registered to preview their attempts at bringing Facebook, Twitter, and Last.FM to the XBL Dashboard, but I’m not exactly sure whether or not I was selected. I can see the info about it on my connect.microsoft.com dashboard, but nothing on my XBL dashboard, so who knows. I really want to test it though.
My birthday was great. I’m super legal now, so I guess I can hang with the big dogs. I was told by my dad to leave class early and be home by 7 (this was on Wednesday, my birthday). We picked up the neighbor (Ken, he’s awesome) and went to see this 80s band at the LC called Tesla. We’re friends with the lady who runs the LC and Newport and she had tickets for us and VIP wristbands (so we were right next to the stage). She brought me drinks and we danced and had a good time. Then we stayed and watched them tear everything down and then the guitarist came out and signed a tshirt for me that Ken got and I took a picture with him and it was fun times. Got to use my new ID a few times even
The bartender said happy birthday too :]
Hopefully going out sometime this weekend, if I have the energy. I was exhausted this morning. Mom and I sucked up all of the leaves in the yard yesterday, which I told her was pointless because, sure enough, I pull into the driveway today and it looks like we didn’t do anything yesterday. Oh well, good exercise.
Off to be Gordon Freeman for a few hours.
[PotD]:

Purr Purr got me good

So I’ve decided that I’m going to really try to update this blog a lot more often, for myself. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, star of one of my favorite movies as of lately, (500) Days Of Summer [with Zooey Deschanel], has a website that I’ve been following for a while called hitrecord.org. Basically the principle of his website is for people to record parts of their lives and upload them for others to see (and then essentially collaborate some of them together and “RErecord” them). Make a record of any sort. Video, book, song, picture, art, blog post, story, poem, drawing, anything. So I’ve been inspired to keep up with the daily record of my life. I also think I want to continue my positive and negative things about each day, I’ll probably call that section “Score 1 For The Home Team” because I’m hoping that the positive things outweigh the negative each day. I also am hopefully ordering a new memory card adapter for my camera so that I can start over with my Project 365 (take a picture every day). I’m playing games on ClubBing.com and earning tickets toward a Sony Camcorder as well, so hopefully they stay in stock for a little over a month so I can get one. My Zune should be coming from them soon; I’m very excited about that.
I will post again tonight after I do a few things because, apparently, someone turned 21 yesterday… ![]()

Happy 09/09/09. The Beatles Rock Band (and tons of other stuff) is out today, and I’m glad I waited to get Rock Band because I honestly don’t need upwards of 6 video game guitars, so I’m excited to get The Beatles Rock Band (when I have the money, of course) because the instruments for that one are awesome. Then I can just buy the discs for the previous Rock Bands. I’ve been listening to The Beatles’ 14 newly remastered albums for the past few days. Good stuff.
I need a new layout. I’ll most likely work on that today I think because… I’m sick! I rarely ever get sick (maybe 2 or 3 times a year, if that) but when I do, it’s pretty brutal (to me anyway, since I’m not used to it). Mom brought home lunch and I took a nice hot shower to try to clear out my sinuses. I’m feeling a little better, but come night time, I’m sure it’ll be worse (last night was killer, ugh).
Wordpress is telling me to update, so I’ll try to get Joe to let me know what to do (I don’t wanna mess anything up). I recently started a new little project on my website called [ SOUND OFF ]. Basically it’s just a place for people to speak their minds, with the option to be anonymous. I need to figure out how I will implicate the results page, and get the ones that have been submitted (so far) visible. I got one where someone has confessed that they like me, so that’s kind of interesting haha, I wasn’t expecting that.
Earlier this week I went to my first OSU Buckeyes football game (against Navy). It was pretty fun, although I wish the crowd was more enthusiastic. I’ll get some pictures up soon (possibly). Then when I was in Columbus, staying with Nathan for a few days, I received a call from my mom saying I had received a $300 Returning Adult Writing Grant from my college. I’m told numerous times that I’m a decent writer (it doesn’t show here though, since I’m only writing about daily happenings, nothing scholarly or anything) and having received this grant and doing a degree audit on Public Communication, I think I’m might FINALLY be declaring a major: JOURNALISM.
Hopefully with journalism I can pursue my dream of traveling the world (while writing about the places I go and taking pictures of the things and people I see) while doing a few things that I enjoy (writing, photography, traveling, learning about new things, geography, and the environment, working with computers *possibly writing for a travel website/magazine, or even just updating a blog of my adventures*, having an open mind to accept new cultures, etc, etc). Of course my dad isn’t particularly happy that I didn’t say doctor or lawyer, but I honestly don’t care what his say is anymore. I want to do something that I enjoy and that I’m decent at (I suppose). So I’m guessing either this quarter or winter quarter is my last quarter at the N. Branch of Ohio State, then I think I’ll be heading to the main campus to finish out the Communications classes I need. I hope I’m lucky with this. We’ll see!
Class starts in exactly two weeks, then once I’m in that routine, it’s time to find a job around here.

So I was looking on a freebies site (who doesn’t love free stuff, and I’ve received plenty of it. Remember those lagoon sites? If not, click Referrals at the top of the blog) and I found a contest that I just entered (and hope to win).
A way to better my chances is to blog about it, and I’d like to share anyway, so two-for-one, right?
Anyway, here is a simple link & description of the contest:
Dimmusacio is a blog about computer and internet related vices. Anything from making money online without being scammed, to creating your own private MMORPG server (makes me wanna play WoW again haha).
They are giving away free Tech Gadgets to people in the next month. They have prizes for 1st place to 3rd place. In order to win one of these prizes you have to have the most points.
Here are the prizes, winners choice:
1st place
$100 Gift Card to Amazon.com or Emachines ET1160 Desktop Computer
2nd place
$50 Gift Card to Amazon.com or a Eagle Tech 80GB Hard Drive
3rd place
$20 Gift Card to Amazon.com or a Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard and Mouse
You can enter many ways. Ends 6/1/2009.
I hope to win because I’d really love a desktop computer to get back into PC gaming and so I can use my laptop strictly for travel / school (it’s had a lot of wear and tear so far, not good).
If you decide to enter the contest, be sure to comment on an entry or two of his blog and mention my name. Referrals get more entries into the contest!
If you do enter, good luck.

I should be doing math or driving back to school or something but I have to share this I guess.
Today has been completely shitty for the most part. I’ve been hella tired lately because I seem to almost never sleep and when I do, it isn’t for long. I love the rain, but today is just not a good day to have rain. I got my English rough draft back and I basically have to rewrite the entire thing because it has “no clear direction”. Sweet man. So I’m soaked, tired, and cold, walking out to my car parked millions of miles away in the pouring rain because I forgot my math notebook at home that I need in order to finish the math quiz that I most likely won’t finish on time. I get splashed by a car XFD but then another car pulls beside me when I stop to make a quiet fuss about the splashage. It’s a Red Bull Mini Cooper, and this girl rolls down the window and says “HI! Would you like a Red Bull?” and I was instantly like “:3 Yes please and thank you very much!” and she handed me one with a smile which instantly put a smile on my face and totally made my day. As they drove away, the license plate was from California :3 They didn’t stop for anyone else and I never saw it again.

Also, watch Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist and get the soundtrack. Just do it.
It’s the little things. Always remember that.

I’m writing this entry from a 24″ iMac and I didn’t realize how terrible the theme looks, but then again it wasn’t ever finished in the first place. I will fix this eventually, I found a new one and will try to install it soon.
It’s spring break for me at the moment. Alex and her boyfriend Nick are coming to stay all of next week. Next Friday I might be going to Hound Dogs 24 hour pizza place in Columbus for pizza with friends from a website. We had a huge meetup at Gameworks a month or so ago, it was good times, so some of us have decided to hang out again. One of the guys offered to hook me up with a discounted used copy of Call Of Duty for 360 because he wants to game with me and that’s the only game he has haha. Tomorrow I’m going to Toys R Us with my friend John to get the Pokemon Event Regigigas. Pokemon Platinum comes out on Sunday, but naturally, I already have it. I haven’t played it much, so I don’t have much to say about it yet. The opening sequence is pretty neat though.
Last night I ordered a new battery for my laptop. I needed a new one really bad. So bad that I had to run to my printer in order to plug in the laptop before it died. It will only last for literally about 3 minutes. So part of this week’s paycheck is going toward that. It’s a 12 cell that was originally $170 but marked down to $89.95. Sale ends today. I hope it’s legit. (Speaking of legit, I can’t stop watching Hot Rod lately. One of my top favorite movies ever). I’m thinking of getting a netbook, but it most likely won’t happen. I also need to get a credit card for gasoline purposes because I seem to always almost run out lately because I’m never near a Chase bank.
This morning I got an app for my Blackberry called IHeartRadio. It’s a bunch of different radio stations for free. Pretty nifty. Also works for iPhone.
June 15th dad’s taking mom and I to see Eric Clapton. I definitely just typed Claptop, haha. At the end of June, my friend Luc is coming from England to stay with me for a week while he travels around the U.S for a bit. I’m pretty excited. He said he would return the favor if I wanted
I’m headed to Canada again this summer with my aunt, uncle, and cousin at the end of July. I always enjoy going there, being isolated from technology, people, distractions, as well as having a chance to catch up on sleep and read some books.
This keyboard is awesome but it takes some getting used to. I would consider buying an iMac myself if I had the money. Really nice.
Also, check out F.lux. It’s a program that automatically changes the color/brightness of your monitor depending on the time of day to put less strain on your eyes. I’ve been using it for a while, but forgot about it. You get used to it. If you decide to install it, click on it in the taskbar and then click on the sun thing to see a preview of how your monitor will change throughout the day.

I’m using this post to try to keep track of all new books, movies, bands, games, people, places, etc that I have the chance to encounter this year. It’s already been a month, so I can’t exactly remember everything so far, but I’ll try my best and try to keep this list updated. This list doesn’t necessarily mean that I like / liked these things, but it’s all about trying new things and giving things a chance. I’m also up for suggestions.
On with the show!

I have to check my playlist heh, will update later

Hi there, hang tight, I’m trying to get the hang of this. Joe switched me over to the new Wordpress and a new server. I also set up a new theme, which, at the moment, doesn’t look how it’s supposed to, so I’m trying to figure that out. It’s showing all of my pages now, and they’re all old as well, will update them accordingly.

Hey there, from my phone! I’m more than happy that this works, this phone is my dream come true. It does everything that I wanted it to do and more, and the new found fact that I can update my blog from it whenever I want is even better. Now I just need to accumulate more traffic. Hopefully I’ll come up with some interesting things to blog about, but it’s doubtful.
These past few weeks have been fairly decent. My laptop was broken and sent to California but I received it fixed (but completely wiped clean) yesterday. I’m behind in some computer class homework, but I’m happy to have it back in a quick fashion. The new phones came in the mail and I obviously love it so far. I never thought I would turn into one of those people who never put their phone down, but this thing can do just about everything. I get instant gmail notifications, have website bookmarks, can view full webpages, instant messaging, instant twitter, myspace, facebook updates, tons of free apps, RSS feeds, etc etc. No need to download ringtones if you have the song on your microSD card, you can set that song as a ringtone. Long battery life, for as much as I’ve used it. I highly recommend the Blackberry Curve to anyone who would like the “internet in their pocket”.
Now I just need to find some more daily blogs to read.
