Costume party. The neighbors were an olive and a “dirty martini”; my mom was a nerdy high school graduate (aka me, pretty much heh) and my dad was Vince, the Shamwow! / [Bitch] Slap Chop guy

Another amazing sunset, this time from the neighbor’s driveway instead of our back porch

I will edit the content of this post when I get the chance, but I’m too tired at the moment. I just don’t want to break my blogging streak.

I had no intentions of today being as busy as it was, but it was fun times. Mike woke me up :3 and I went to the thrift store to find items for my halloween costumes for Friday and Saturday. Friday I’m going as a zombie to this concert / halloween bash thing at the LC. Saturday I’m being Velma Dinkley from Scooby Doo, although I’m not sure which party I’m going to yet. But I love the Velma costume the most. The items I found were all from the thrift store, even Scooby! The skirt I got was really long so mom and I worked together to cut it and hem it and pleat it and it looks so perfect. I even sort of figured out how to make my hair look shorter. And her glasses have a blue tint to them so I took out the blue lenses from my 2 free pair of 3d glasses and taped them onto my own glasses.
At the first thrift store I went to, I saw my aunt and told her what I was looking for and she told me about all of the items she had at her house and told me to come over later. All I found for my costume there were the socks. I went to 2 more thrift stores and pretty much found my entire costume at the last one. I looked through the bin with the stuffed animals and I said “Scooby Doo, where are you?!” and sure enough, there was a perfect size Scooby in there for only 50¢. I can’t wait heh. After that thrift store I headed to my aunt’s house and she got me the sweet hookups with some zombie makeup and some other costumes we could possibly use to be zombies, but I think we’re going to stick with our ratty clothes, for authenticity. I ended up having dinner with my aunt, uncle, and cousin and then it was time for trick or treaters to come along, so I stayed for a little bit until my dad called and said him and my mom were heading to the halloween store and then to Olive Garden for dinner. I met them at the Halloween store and we got some more accessories for their costumes and then I went to Olive Garden, thinking they were headed there, but turns out they went to Walmart instead. I couldnt call them to find out where they were because my battery had died even before trick or treaters showed up at my aunt’s. So I waited and waited and they weren’t coming so I went to the bar and had a strawberry daiquiri, first drink that I bought myself since I turned 21, haha. I downed that whole thing and I was about to head home (because I wasn’t hungry, since I had already eaten, just wanted to sit and talk with them) and THEN they show up. They have dinner, we talk, head home and work on our costumes. It was a fun day, especially putting costumes together. I can’t believe how awesome Velma turned out to be, I’m excited. Ugh I don’t want to go to classes tomorrow. I’m contemplating going as Velma to school and seeing if anyone says anything heh, probably not though.

So I’m reading that Haunted book right? I was about to go to sleep a few minutes ago and I put the book on the table next to my bed. I look over and the book is GLOWING! Freaked the hell out of me, cause the face on it is kinda creepy. I had no idea the book glowed in the dark, but that is such an awesome touch. Here’s a picture of someone elses’ glowing because my camera wouldn’t capture the glow at all. Creeeepyyy :P

OMFG

Oh man, I almost ruined my week-long streak of updating this silly thing because I started reading the book Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk, which has been on my shelf for a long time but I never got around to reading it, and now I can’t put it down because it’s grossly hilarious so far.  Anyway, Joe got me all set up with the new Wordpress and moved on over to his newer server, so high five thanks Joe! But yeah, been going strong with the blogging / PotD for a week straight now. Pretty proud of that I suppose. It doesn’t seem like a hassle anymore. I went and got the job application at the booth thingy, but a lot of it I wasn’t sure how I wanted to answer it, so I haven’t turned it in yet. I can apply online too, so that’s good. When I got the job application, the lady gave me a huge box of Moose Munch and Dark Chocolate Truffles, which are two of the products the company sells. Mmm it’s so yummy and looks pretty expensive. Class was yawn-worthy of course, and then Mike sent me youtube video links, so I watched those for most of the day during my breaks. I ordered a memory card adapter thingy for my camera this morning for free through gaminglagoon.com, since I lost mine and the internal memory on my camera is very slim. So hopefully that actually comes. Still hoping for my Zune soon too, and all of the other stuff I ordered from Club Bing. Arrrrrh, free stuff rules. I thought there was more to say but I have major growing (hopefully) pains in my legs and can’t think straight atm. Time for Zombieland in bed.

My internet has been very slow lately. I wanted to watch some movies on instant Netflix when I got home today but I couldn’t even do that because of my slooow connection. Anyway, woke up and studied for my lab practical exam. It was short but kind of difficult, so I’m not too sure about it, we’ll see. Then I needed gas so I stopped at Speedway and used my debit card for the very first time. I headed to Sears to see if I could FINALLY catch someone who knows what they’re doing actually working in there, but again, it was that apprentice chick. It felt really nice out so I walked over to Target to see if there was anything I wanted to spend my gift card on (besides video games. I need to stop buying those for a while and finish the ones I have). I walked through the entire store because I didn’t have anything else to do all day and thought I would kill some time to see if maybe someone else would show up to work at the eye center. All I found was little shit from the dollar section in Target, so I put everything back and didn’t buy anything, heh. I almost bought a cute coat but of course, every cute coat I see has stupid fur on it. That stuff is so hideous, I really don’t get the fake fur trend but it’s tacky as hell. At least make it removable! I walked back over to Sears and someone was FINALLY in there. So now my glasses fit snug and are not constantly falling off of my face. Every time I go in there, I hear a Beatles song. This time, as I was walking out, a Beatles song came over the store speakers and as that was playing and I was walking past all of the tvs, a Beatles Rock Band advertisement came on. A guy asked me if I needed help with anything (I was half tempted to bust out “HELP! I NEED SOMEBODY!”) and I just laughed and said “Nooo I’m just watching this and singing along” and he laughed and rode away on the back of a cart of merch he was pushing. I had Taco Bell for lunch mmmm. At home I played HL2 for a bit, and CS:S with Britt and Joe for a bit on Joe’s new server. Really need to fix my connection so I’m not lagging next time. Tomorrow a company is coming to school to offer / accept job applications, so I’m crossing my fingers for that. Wish me luck, or whatever.

Today was so bleh, all around. I was so tired and the day just dragged on and I wasn’t in the best of moods. Being around people didn’t help me much either. I tried to talk to the cute guy but was just completely socially awkward, so whatever. Some good things are that my debit card came and I also got $20 and another $2.70 from various websites for contests and clicking on things heh. I skipped my lab practical exam today because I tried to study but I just felt horrible and couldn’t stop spacing out, I couldn’t focus or concentrate, and everything that I was trying to study, I was not retaining at all. I guess it’s a cool thing that I’m allowed to go to either the Monday lab or Tuesday lab because now I can just go take my exam tomorrow. Nicole said it was fairly easy, so that’s a relief. I know I’ll be heading to bed early tonight. I’ll get up and study before 1pm tomorrow. I should probably go get my glasses adjusted while I’m out (probably my car washed as well). Hopefully someone OTHER THAN the noob lady is there damnit. That’s so stupid, she doesn’t know how to do anything because she’s an apprentice, but yet they leave her there by herself. I forgot to talk to Joe at 3:30, I don’t even remember what I was doing then. And I just found out Club Bing doesn’t have the video camera anymore :( On a better note, last night when I was moving Rusty’s cage back into the bathroom, I realized that his wheel faintly glows in the dark. It was pretty awesome. Really big headache. Here’s your stupid picture. No, you get 2 today, because at least it was beautiful outside. That’s always a plus.

Pepper, Snoopy, and Apollo (Nathan’s dogs) all came and played in the bed I was sleeping in this morning. It was really cute to wake up to them. Nathan had to get back to Columbus so he drove me home. I came home and watched an episode of The Office that I missed and an episode of Gossip Girl and then I took a nap (I think it was unintentional though). Mom came in and woke me up; I kind of freaked out thinking it was tomorrow and that I was late for class, but it was only 4pm. She asked if I wanted to go to the Japanese Steakhouse for dinner (uh hell yes) and that she would pay, so I was very awake and excited after that. We love that place :]. We weren’t leaving for a few hours so I started messing around with Windows Movie Maker and I made a silent movie-type video which I’m kind of proud of, even though it’s completely pointless and dumb. We went to the Japanese Steakhouse, but not before I got a picture of the amazing sunset we had. One of the coolest ones I’ve ever seen. The picture I took doesn’t do it any justice, it was so many different colors, but the coolest was the hot pink.

I had some delicious hibachi chicken and fried rice and we sat with a family and a little boy named Keanan (it was his birthday and his dad’s was last Friday). My dad told them about it being  my birthday last week too, so everyone was all smiley and congratulating everyone on birthdays, it was cute. When we arrived home, the moon looked all spooky and it felt really nice out (I love Fall!) so I walked around the front yard taking pictures for a while. Here’s my official Picture of the Day.

It’s Saturday! Ok enough dancing, this is serious business. Not really. It’s Saturday. People will be here any minute for the weekly football game party. I’m still in my pajamas in my goofy glasses, who cares. I really need to figure out how to edit what the single posts look like. Separate the comments with a divider of some sort, get the smilies to not stick up high. Maybe I’ll just turn those off. Sent that bitch a smiley face. Erm, ok, I’m thinking I need a shower, I’ll edit this later with the day’s happenings.

Edit:

Saturday turned out swell. I took my shower and then my dad knocked on my door and said “someone’s upstairs”. It took me a while to try to figure out who it could be while I dried my hair. I went upstairs and it was exactly who I thought it would be: Nathan (even though he said we wouldn’t see each other until Sunday)! The usual big group of my parents friends showed up. We had yummy food (dad even made me shredded chicken) and watched the game. It was a blowout so Nathan and I went and chilled in my room. Then someone found a package on the porch, it was my gift (more like gifts, there were sooo many awesome things in the box, holy crap!) from Alex that I had been anxiously waiting for! We took the box to my room and we called her up because she told me to call her so she could hear my reaction to everything as I unpacked it. So much cute stuff in there, I loved it so much. Nathan also gave me a cute bag and a cute shirt, and a lot of my parents’ friends gave me cards/money/gift cards, SO NICE! I guess my dad had called other people and told them to come, but only Nathan could make it / wanted to come lol. Nathan called people as well, haha. So then they lit some candles on a cute fall-themed cake for me and everyone took a shot of German apple schnops and then Nathan and I headed to his house. We watched Wolverine and Hannah Montana: The Movie. I tried to teach Nathan the Hoedown Throwdown dance from the movie, and he’s basically got it, he just has to learn how to do it fast haha. We played with the dogs and ate pizza rolls and listened to music while he painted his art project. Good times.

Hi, I just found an official Wordpress App for Blackberry, so naturally, I have to test it out. If this works, this will make it EVEN EASIER to keep up with the daily blogging. So awesome :D It’s like tweeting, but I can type forever and ever. I need to get Joey to help me upgrade to the new Wordpress so I can enable Publicize, which I can click to send a link to new blog posts to my twitter account. Damnit Lady Gaga, get out of my head. Oh and I played Half-Life, like I said earlier and just finished the Nova Prospekt level. I hope I’m at least more than half way through that game. It’s sooo long. Ok, that’s enough for this post.
